My Story, Your Story

I Can, I Will, You Do...

Why did I decide to become a Celebrant?

Having been in an office job, I never wanted that for myself again. Being a Celebrant gives me more opportunity doing what I love to do:  helping people to create a memorable day, public speaking, and who doesn't love a wedding?!

I am a relaxed person with a positive outlook, and I can offer this approach on your Big Day. I have a lot of experience speaking publicly as well as organising things behind the scenes; all so that your Big Day goes without a hitch. Your Wedding Day is one of the best days of your life. Mine was. So with all that there is to organise, making sure the Ceremony is as you want it is so important to making it memorable for the right reasons.

Let me help to make yours as amazing as mine was.

My Career So Far

I've come a long way from my first job: working in a pet-food factory as a teen; in my late-teens and into my twenties I worked in radio as a newsreader and announcer. It was something I absolutely loved. I have worked throughout the country at local radio stations, and along with being on-air, I have hosted a multitude of events ranging from high school functions to Emceeing of the Chardonnay Club of Taranaki. I moved into the corporate world; first into telecommunications, and later into banking, both of which fuelled my interests in technology and money! From a Branch Manager in banking I turned to Recruiting; I work from home finding the right people for my business clients. It is a rewarding and varied job, and I love it. Working from home enables me to be flexible and gives me time with my two girls and my Rotty.

I have also rekindled my work in broadcasting and work on-air for a local radio station. You may hear me from time to time - I voice ads for other local stations around the country - or see me out and about throughout Canterbury with local radio promotions.
